I am a 3D lookdev and lighting artist with additional experience in both film and coding. I enjoy a challenge and love being on the cutting edge of emerging technologies.
3D animation and VFX are, for me, the bridge between traditional film and computer science - two of my many passions. Through studio work, a master's degree, and personal projects, I‘ve enjoyed exploring and learning about many aspects of the 3D animation and film pipelines. To date, I have worked on short films, limited series, commercials, feature films and theme park rides. I strive to use my knowledge of different roles in these pipelines to seamlessly integrate my own work in lookdev and lighting.
My Background
During my undergraduate studies, I fell in love with directing. There was a do-it-yourself mentality around campus that I took to wholeheartedly. Soon I was directing award-winning short films and writing/directing my own miniseries. I have never been one to shy away from an ambitious project. It’s often where I feel most at home! But during this time, something was missing - a deep passion from my childhood I couldn’t quite shake. I found myself often diving into color science, camera specifications, and lighting math. While my film peers were creating beautiful imagery by feel, I was creating it with a more technical approach.
This approach to largely artistic fields has always made me stand out among my peers. In addition to understanding why the tools work (or more often don’t work), my ability to break down art into smaller, more digestible chunks has proven valuable in my career. Not only have I solidified myself as a talented artist, but I have also garnered a reputation for my knowledge and teaching abilities.
For me, the field of lookdev and lighting allows me to creatively express myself while utilizing technical knowledge. Lookdev and lighting are where beautiful artistry meets incredibly complex technical topics, such as rendering or color science. This is where I feel most at home.

My Future
As I look forward to the future, I am excited by new developments in real-time rendering and increasingly complex procedural lookdev. I am always looking for new inspiring projects to work on and advanced technologies to bring them to life.
Please reach out if you think I would be a good fit for your team, or if you just want to chat! I look forward to collaborating with you!
